I've had two heating systems installed by Barga Heating & Air in the last 2+ months. Both experiences have been good. Barga installed a replacement WaterFurnace geothermal unit in my home the week of Thanksgiving 2024. The 20-year-old existing WaterFurnace unit developed a freon leak in the evaporator coil. I did a lot of research with different geothermal contractors around my local area and found Scott Barga to be, by far, the most knowledgeable. The fact his company is listed as a "GEO Pro Master Dealer" by WaterFurnace definitely showed. I also very much appreciated his 'down to earth' advice on the performance of my existing unit over the years and what items from my existing installation could be reused if I chose in order to keep costs down as much as practical. The price was competitive and his installers did a nice job, taking two days to install. The unit has been working well in the 2 months since, including through the recent weeklong cold spell with negative temperatures. In mid-January 2025, my 80-year old mother's gas furnace went out just before she was scheduled for a total knee replacement surgery. Unfortunately, it was a melted relay on the main control board in a 23+ year old unit and the main control board is no longer manufactured. Given my recent experience with the geothermal replacement, I reached out to Scott Barga. Neither he nor I could find a replacement old stock board in a reasonable timeframe. Given the situation and age of the unit, my mom and I chose to replace it. Luckily Barga did have a new Trane high efficiency furnace in stock. There was absolutely no pressure by Scott Barga to replace the unit. His install crew had it installed in *3 hours* the next day, a Friday. The price again was competitive. The unit has been working great in the two weeks since installation. Each time I worked with Scott Barga and his team, they were completely down to earth. There was no salesman garbage or misrepresentation of any kind with him or anyone that I dealt with during either of these installations. HVAC work is not cheap, that's for sure. But I really appreciate a company that isn't trying to 'upsell' at every turn.
